PURPOSE:To make the title motor thin and stabilize the rotation of the same, by utilizing a magnetic attracting force for a pressing force applied between a rotor and a stator. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic rotary vibrator is constituted by a method wherein a piezoelectric ceramic disc is polarized in the direction of the thickness so that each half circle has reverse polarity while one surface is applied by a total surface electrode and the other surface is applied with segment electrodes 11-14 of respective quarter circles of positive and negative areas to form a piezoelectric element 1, thereafter, the element 1 is fitted into a ring 2. An ultrasonic motor is constituted by utilizing the ultrasonic rotary vibrator as a stator and the rotor 3 of the magnetic ring is attracted to the outer peripheral surface of the stator. According to this constitution, the rotor 3 may be rotated with a strong torque by impressing a sine wave voltage on said vibrator. |
