EXTRUSION MOLDING OF PRODUCT IN A CONTINUOUS LENGTH WITH U-SHAPED OR C-SHAPED CROSS SECTION

PURPOSE:To make it possible to carry out easily extrusion molding of a product in a continu ous length whose cross section is a U-shape or a C-shape, by separating and passing an intimate mixture introduced in a path for the intimate mixture between a die and a nipple in a die land by using a separating plate, carrying out extrusion molding in a tube shape while the separated intimate mixture is being weakly fused together at a retreated part from the front face of the die and tearing it at the weakly fused part after passing through a cooling water bath. CONSTITUTION:An intimate mixture 2 passes through between a die land 8 and a nipple land 9 through a path 4 for the intimate mixture. Then, the flow of the intimate mixture 2 is once separated by means of a separating plate and joined again in the neighborhood of the front face of the die. At this instance, the pressure received by the intimate mixture is lowered and extrusion molding is therefore carried out in a tube shape in a weakly fused condition. The tube-shaped molded item 13 extrusion-molded passes through a cooling water bath 14 and the shape is thereby solidified. The tube-shaped molded item 13 whose shape has been solidified is teared through a capstan 15 and a guide roller 16 and a part of a product whose cross section is a U-shape is straightly forwarded as it is and wound on a winding machine 17. A part which does not become to the product is wound on a winding machine 18.
