PURPOSE:To halve the capacitance of a capacitor generating a pulse with a prescribed time width in comparison that of a conventional vibrator by using a time required to charge the capacitor in two-way so as to decide the time width of an output pulse of a monostable multivibrator. CONSTITUTION:Assuming a potential difference across a capacitor 3 as V0 and the output circuit is turned off as the initial state of the circuit. With a trigger input 10 is supplied, the output circuit is turned on and charging is started to the capacitor 3 from a 1st charging circuit. When a prescribed time T0 elapses and the voltage across the capacitor 3 reaches V1, a changeover circuit is activated and the charging is started from the capacitor 3 and the voltage across the capacitor 3 is restored to the voltage V0 when a time elapses from the charging start by a 2nd charging circuit by a time T2 an the output circuit is turned off. That is, the time when the output circuit is turned on after the input of trigger is T1+T2, then the time width of the output pulse is increased.
