PURPOSE:To simplify constitution as a whole, to use an arbitrary printing material and to extend the life of a thermal head, by a method wherein an ink ribbon film and an inkless ribbon film are sent in an overlapped state and the ink ribbon film is brought into contact with transfer paper under pressure when the ink other than that of the character part on the ink ribbon film is transferred to the inkless ribbon film by the thermal head and heated by a heater to transfer the ink to the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:An ink ribbon film 14 and an inkless ribbon film 15 are wound around a drive pulley 17 and a passive pulley 18 and moved by the driving of the drive pulley 17. The ink on the ink ribbon film 14 of a part H other than a character is transferred to the surface of the inkless ribbon film 15 by a thermal head 19. The ink film ribbon 14 is taken up by the drive pulley 17. The ink ribbon film 14 is taken up by the drive pulley 17 but a character part K is brought into contact with the pressure contact roller 27 on the back surface of transfer paper 25 between rolls 23, 24 and, further, a heater 26 is brought into contact with the ink ribbon film 14 from the back surface thereof to transfer the character part K to the transfer paper 25. |
