The invention relates to an apparatus for restoring written text consisting of a modified miniature cassette reader connected to a light-emitting diode-based or liquid-crystal display screen, where a text recorded digitally on a standard magnetic cassette is printed. The apparatus according to the invention is more particularly intended for the personal reading of written text.
