<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of storage of workpieces by marking a rack number and sub-rack numbers for dividing a rack space into a plurality of sections, a workpiece storage rack in each area. CONSTITUTION:A rack number 1 and subrack numbers 1a-1d are marked on a rack so that one rack is divided into a plurality of sections. Further, the introduction and delivery of workpieces to and from an automatic warehouse is carried out by a control device which is not shown, in accordance with a rack number and a subrack number. For example, when a new workpiece 1c is to be stored in the rack 1 in which workpieces 5a, 5b have been stored in sections having sub-numbers 1a, 1b, the control device checks the storage condition in the rack 1, and then designates a subrack number 1c into which the workpiece 5c is therefore stored. With this arrangement it is possible to eliminate the unnecessary take-out and -in of workpieces, thereby it is possible to enhance the efficiency of storage of workpieces.</p> |
