PURPOSE:To remove the occupation area of an unnecessary part and make a surplus wiring for electrodeposition and external terminals needless, while removing a cutting-off man-hour of external terminals by providing a projection part for phosphor electrodeposition on an anode substrate. CONSTITUTION:An anode wiring 7 consisting of an Al thin film is formed on an anode substrate 1 to be connected to an anode pad 9 for electrodeposition through an anode pad 8. The wiring 7 is covered by an insulating layer 12 and the pad 8 is connected to a fluorescent character display part 14 through a throughhole 13 formed in the insulating layer 12. The pad 9 is similarly connected to a projection part 15 for electrodeposition through the throughhole 13 formed in the insulating layer 12. The projection part 15 is formed to be projected from the surface of the insulating layer 12 and a metal terminal or a conductive rubber terminal is made to make contact with it to be impressed with voltage in an electrolytic solution suspending phosphor particles in order to coat the display part 14 with phosphor particles. The existence of the projection part 15 makes it easy to obtain electrical contact.
