PURPOSE:To reduce the weight and drive capacity of a screw conveyor by forming the diameter on the disc column side of the screw conveyor larger than the diameter on a side wall side. CONSTITUTION:A screw conveyor 4 having different dimension of the screw blades on a side wall 1 side and a disc column 2 side is used so that the dimension of the screw blade of the screw conveyor becomes the dimension suitable for the transport quantity of the blade in each part of the screw. Since the dimension of the screw blade is the dimension suitable for the transport quantity in each part, useless part can be removed, and the weight of the screw can be reduced in comparison with the screw having an equal dimension over the whole length of the screw, and the weight and drive capacity of the constitution part can be reduced.
