PURPOSE:To feed a paper while maintaining the paper in contact with a printing position on a platen and prevent printing noise from being generated due to levitation of the paper, by disposing the printing position on the platen slightly closer to a printing head than is on a straight line connecting between a contact point of upstream feeding rollers and that of downstream feeding rollers. CONSTITUTION:A printing position on a platen 11 is protruded to the side of a printing head 13, namely, the printing position is disposed slightly closer to the head 13 than is on a straight line L connecting between a contact point of feeding rollers 16, 17 on the introducing side and that of feeding rollers 18, 19 on the discharging side. Therefore, a continuous form printing paper introduced from a tractor unit 5 or a slip printing paper introduced from a manual paper supply guide plate 25 is brought into close contact with the printing position on the platen 11. By this, the paper introduced is constantly fed in contact with, and without levitation from, the printing position on the platen 11 when being fed through a paper guide passage 21. Accordingly, printing noise is not generated due to levitation of the paper, and printing can be performed quietly. |
