PURPOSE:To make it possible to carry out extrusion molding of a product in a continu ous length whose cross section is a U-shape or a C-shape, by introducing an intimate mixture in a path for the intimate mixture between a die and a nipple, making notches whose depth is the greater part of the thickness on two parts of the circumference of a tube while passing through from a die land to a front face of the die, carrying out the extrusion molding in a tube-shape and tearing the notched part after passing through a cooling water bath. CONSTITUTION:An intimate mixture 2 kneaded and extruded from an extruder 1 is introduced in a path 4 for the intimate mixture through a cross head 3. The path 4 for the intimate mixture is formed between a nipple 5 and a die 7. The intimate mixture 2 passes through between a die land 8 and a nipple land 9 through the path 4 for the intimate mixture. At this time, notches are formed by means of a notching projection 10 on the intimate mixture 2 and after passing through the die land 8 and extrusion molding a tube 11, notches are thereon made by means of a knife 13 held by a knife holder 12 while a very small part of the thickness is being left. Thereafter, the extrusion-molded tube 14 where notches have been made passes through a cooling water bath 15 to solidify the shape. |
