PURPOSE:To improve rigidity of a car body, by a method wherein a cowl panel has a branch part coupled to a suspension tower, and the suspension tower is bridged to the branch part in a state to mount the cowl panel to the car body. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing member 21 with which a closed cross section is formed in association with the cowl panel 2 is welded to the under surface of the cowl panel 2. The base part of branch part 4 is mounted to each of the side parts on both sides of a front wall 21a of the reinforcing member 21, the branch part is extended front-sideways, and the tip thereof is removably coupled to a suspension tower 5 by means of a bolt. A wiper device is mounted to the cowl panel 2. Further, the ends in the direction of a car width of the cowl panel 2 are respectively secured to a wheel apron.
