PURPOSE:To improve versatility by making a lateral force to be electrically detected from a resistant value of a pressure sensitive conductive rubber with the rubber ringedly abutted to the tire side wall part along the wheel outer periphery. CONSTITUTION:Both sides of a pressure sensitive conductive rubber 12 are held with a pair of electrodes 14 and 15 and are made to be ringedly abutted to the tire 6 side wall part along the wheel 3 outer periphery, the electrode 15 is connected to a D.C. power source, and the electrode 14 is earthed via a resistance and is connected to a detection circuit in the tire side. By the constitution, when a lateral force acts on the tire 6, a resistant value of the rubber 12 varies, and a resistant value variation is detected by the detection circuit. The lateral force is detected from a detected resistant value as the resistant value variation is inversely proportional to the lateral force acting to the tire. This constitution enables versatility to be improved.
