Apparatus for heating and mixing transfusion or infusion liquid in a flexible liquid bag (6) and discharging the liquid therefrom. The apparatus has at least one movable heater housing (4, 5) in which the liquid bag is kept squeezed between at least two support plates (24, 13) of which one constitutes a heating plate (13) having a good heat conductivity and being electrically heated and temperature controlled. In accordance with the invention, each heater housing (4, 5) is adapted to perform a reciprocatory rotary motion during heating the liquid, this motion having a large amplitude between two end positions. The axis of rotation is located close to the outlet connection (7) of the liquid bag (6). Furthermore, a flexible, expandable pressure bag (12) is arranged for achieving a squeezing action against one side of the liquid bag (6), so that its other side is urged into good heat conducting surface contact against said heating plate (13). The pressure bag (12) is connected to a pressurized medium source such that by a squeezing action it achieves liquid discharge directly form the liquid bag (6) in the heater housing (4, 5) to an infusion apparatus (8) or the like.
