A lower leg prosthesis is provided which utilizes a resin impregnated high-strength filament structure for the leg portion (24), the foot portion (20) and heel portion (22), with all three regions being provided with substantial elastic flexibility so as to give the wearer high mobility with a relatively natural feel, the heel (22) of the prosthesis being rigidly attached to the leg and foot portions (24, 20) which are integrally formed with each other, preferably by a binding (26) at the ankle region. <IMAGE>
