PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition prevented from solvent cracking and suitably used for automobile parts or electronic devices of, e.g., communication equipment, by crosslinking an aromatic polyester resin of a specified formula by irradiation with an ionizing radiation. CONSTITUTION:The title resin composition prepared by crosslinking an aromatic polyester resin having a basic skeleton of the formula by irradiation with an ionizing radiation (e.g., electron beams or gamma-rays). An aromatic polyester resin is disadvantageous in that it is amorphous and insufficiently flexible so that its molding has residual strain and is liable to undergo solvent cracking when contacted with an aromatic solvent such as toluene, though it is excellent in flame retardancy and heat resistance. By crosslinking by irradiation with an ionizing radiation, it is possible to prevent the resin from undergoing solvent cracking substantially without the need of adding any second component.
