A sawing cable for working stone-like materials is designed as an endless circular cable for use on a band saw machine. To ensure that both cable ends (2, 3) are held by a secure lock (4), a lock sleeve (10) is first turned onto a long first screw thread (7) and then back and onto a second screw thread (9). The cutting elements (15, 22) and the lock sleeve (10) have an assentially identical external diameter corresponding to that of a plastic coating which fills the interstitial spaces or that of a wire spiral (21). The cutting elements (15, 22) are either mounted as sleeves on the cable (6) or arranged as coated elements (22) on the wire spiral (21). |
