In an endless chain conveyer, each load carrier 10 is supported by a member 5 which is connected to one of the endless chains 6 at one end, and at the other to an upstanding member 4, the upper end of which is connected to the other endless chain 7. In horizontal runs of the conveyer the chain 7 thus runs at a higher level than the chain 6. The connection of the load carrier to the chain 7 may also be offset in a longitudinal direction.
