PURPOSE:To produce metal powder for powder metallurgy having good moldability and sinterability by adhering fine metal grains and powder by a binder to the circumferences of the spherically shaped coarse metal grains and powder obtd. by a gas atomization method, etc., and pelletizing the secondarily worked particles. CONSTITUTION:The fine metal grains and powder are adhered by the binder to the circumference of the spherically shaped coarse metal grains and powder formed by the gas atomization method, vacuum atomization method or centrifugal atomization method and the irregularly shaped powder is pelletized. Easy-to- oxidize elements, such as Mn, Cr, Ti, Al, Si, and Nb, or powders contg. said elements are used for the metal powder. The discrimination between the fine grains and powder and the coarse grains and powders is relative. The secondarily worked particles for powder metallurgy having the good moldability and sinterability are thereby formed.
