PURPOSE:To regenerate the deodorizing filter used in a air cleaner, etc., by holding an adsorbent, such as activated carbon, and a catalyst decomposing odor, such as platinum alloy, in a heat resistive net. CONSTITUTION:The granular odor adsorbent 3, such as activated carbon, and the granular catalyst 4, such as platinum alloy, are held in the heat resisting net 5 in a sandwich shape. The granular odor adsorbent 3 may be sandwiched between nets 5' baked the platinum alloy catalyst on the surface. When the odor adsorbing capacity is deteriorated, the filter 1 is put in an oven, etc., and heated at about 200-300 deg.C for about 10-30min. Thus, the odor adsorbent 3 is reactivated, and the discharged odor component is decomposed by bringing into contact with the catalyst 4 or net 5' backed with catalyst. Consequently, the filter 1 is reassembled into the cleaner body to be economically reutilized with the result that the material resources are saved. |
