PURPOSE:To form a phenolic resin molding material having well-balanced properties such as high impact strength and flexural strength, high resistance to repeated shock, good heat resistance and low flexural modulus, by blending a phenolic resin with a rubber component, a fibrous substrate having specific physical properties and a friction modifier. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. matrix (A) prepd. by incorporating 3-70wt.% (based on the weight of phenolic resin) rubber component in a phenolic resin is blended with 10-125pts.wt. fibrous substrate (B) having a tensile strength of 6g/de or above and a strength of 12g or above and 1-70pts.wt. frictional modifier (C). As the phenolic resin, those modified by at least one member selected from the group consisting of cardol, anacardic acid and cardanol are preferred. As the fibrous substrate, org. fibers such as polyamide fiber, polyester fiber, etc. are preferred. As the friction modifier, fluororesins are preferred. |
