PURPOSE:To obtain precise working history information by providing a non- volatile memory which stores and holds the working history information obtained by totalling every working process. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 9 controls a whole printer with the control program of a ROM 8. A RAM 10 is used for writing and reading of received data, printed data and computed data. The non-volatile memory 11 is constituted of a static RAM or an EEPROM backed up in terms of battery and stores and holds the working history information obtained by totalling and adding the number of totalled printing outputs, the number of totalled power source entries, the number of totalled printed characters and the number of totalled printed lines of the working history information, the number of totalled processed pages of continuous paper and the number of totalled processed pieces of single chit (cut paper) every time the process of the information is executed. The output of the working history information is executed in terms of printing output by pushing down a working information printing switch provided in a printer and all the values of working history information are made zero by receiving a working history deletion command.
