<p>Compounds having the general formula (I), where n and m each denote the figures 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4, X denotes a hydrogen atom and/or a metallic ion equivalent of an element of the ordinal numbers 21-29, 31, 32, 37-39, 42-44, 49 or 57-83, R?1 and R2¿ are different and each denote a hydrogen atom or a straight-chain, branched, saturated or unsaturated C¿0?-C20 alkylene group containing, as necessary, imino, phenyleneoxy, phenylenimino, amido, hydrazido, ester groups or oxygen, sulphur and/or nitrogen atoms, substituted, as necessary, by hydroxy, mercapto, imino, epoxy, oxo, thioxo and/or amino groups, at the end of which is either a second molecule having the general formula (IA) or (IB), a functional group or, bonded through this functional group, a bio- or macromolecule, with the proviso that the sum of n and m is not greater than 4 and that when X stands for a metallic ion equivalent at least two of the X substituents have this meaning, as well as their salts with inorganic and/or organic bases or amino acids are valuable diagnostic and therapeutic agents.</p> |
