Nail care is still carried out today largely manually using nail files because electric motor devices are too difficult to handle. In the device according to the invention, a rotating grinding element (8) is assigned an exchangeable finger-tip rest (15) which is mounted on a finger support plate (14) and guides the finger tip. Various finger-tip rests (15) are provided as approximately U-shaped wire loops. The desired nail length is preselectable by means of the position of the finger support plate (14) relative to the grinding element (8). The nail-care device is easy to handle and can, above all, be used without difficulty both by right-handed and by left-handed people. <IMAGE>
