PURPOSE:To obtain a picture image of good quality by using a specified dye for a sensitizing dye in a stage of scanning exposure with laser light for a photoconductive compsn. contg. an inorganic photoconductor, a sensitizing dye, a cyclic acid anhydride, and a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The scanning exposure stage of this invention comprises a scanning exposure stage with laser light for a photoconductive compsn. contg. at least an inorganic photoconductor, a sensitizing dye, a cyclic acid anhydride, and a binder resin. Said sensitizing dye is a compd. expressed by formula I and/or II. In formula I, each R1 and R2 is an alkyl group; each L1-7 is a substd. or unsubstd. methine group; Y1 is an alkyl or aralkyl group each substituted by a carboxyl sulfo, or phospho group; A1<-> is an anion; gamma is 1 or 2; In formula II, the definitions for R3, R4, K1-K7, Y2, A2<->, and rho are same as those for R1, R2, L1-L7, A1<->, and gamma in formula I. By this constitution, satisfactory picture image formation is performed. |
