PURPOSE:To easily manufacture Mo macrocrystalline grains or single crystals without adding working elements for single crystal while obviating the necessity of heating at high temp., by specifying the draft at the time of working an Mo sintered compact and subsequent heat-treatment conditions. CONSTITUTION:Working is applied to an Mo sintered compact containing 0.01-0.2atom.% impurities at >=50% draft so as to arrange the crystal orientation of the Mo sintered compact. Subsequently, heat treatment is applied at 1,600-<2,000 deg.C at <=30cm/hr feed rate in a continuous furnace so as to carry out recrystallization from one direction. In this way, the Mo macrocrystalline grains or single crystals can be easily obtained.
