PURPOSE:To completely fill a trench having a water-stop sheet with soft sludge by providing a screw device to convert returned soil into sludge on the way of the return pipeline of excavated soil in a bucket-type trencher. CONSTITUTION:A trench is excavated by a bucket-type trencher 1, and the trench is embedded with excavated soil while laying a water-stop sheet in the trench. In such a water-stop sheet layer, a screw case 17 is provided on the way of the return pipeline of excavated soil in the trencher 1, and a screw blade 20 is attached over nearly the whole length to the inside of screw case 17, a hollow screw shaft 19 with a water drain hole 21 in provided. By converting the returned excavated soil into sludge by the screw mechanism, the returned soil can be packed in no-space into the trench excavated by the bucket 1, where the water-stop sheet is laid. The water-stop sheet can thus be completely laid.
