PURPOSE:To obtain a toner suitable to lowering heat roll temperature and to be fixed by a slight quantity of heat energy in the heat pressure roll fixing system by using as a binder a wax having a melting point of 30-100 deg.C and an average molecular weight of <=1,000. CONSTITUTION:The powder toner to be used is obtained by using as the binder; particles A having an average particle diameter of 5-25mum and composed of the wax having a melting point of 30-100 deg.C and an average molecular weight of <=1,000, and when needed, a colorant, and a magnetic powder; hydrophobic resin particles B having an average particle diameter of <=2mum, and a volume resistivity of >=10<14>OMEGA.cm at a temperature of 35 deg.C and a relative humidity of <=90%; and other necessary fine particles C, and applying mechanical stress to the obtained particle mixture in such conditions as forming an average particle diameter of 5-25mum, thus permitting the obtained powder toner to have such a structure that the particles A are coated with the particles B and the fine necessary particles C on the surfaces of the particles A, to be fixed by a slight quantity of heat energy, and suitable for lowering the temperature of the heat roll. |
