In the annular rolling bearing, the two radially inner races (5') are preloaded elastically radially towards the outside and the two radially outer races (5) are preloaded elastically radially towards the inside, in each case in relation to the axis (1) of rotation. The rolling-element cage (9) has retaining supports (10) arranged along its circumference and projecting in the direction of the axis (1) of rotation on both sides beyond the envelope surface described by the revolving rolling elements, and the races (5, 5') rest resiliently against these supports in the uninstalled condition, under the action of their preloading, the retaining supports (10) holding the races (5, 5') lying in them firmly against the rolling-element cage (9), so that the preassembled unit consisting of the rolling-element cage together with the rolling elements (3) and of the races (5, 5') is held together by their self-tightening action. <IMAGE>
