For doors opening upwards and actuated by a rope pull, the invention provides a catching device (10) with a housing (12), in which is displaceably mounted a spring-loaded catch bolt (22) which, in the extended position, penetrates into a recess of a lateral guide and which thereby intercepts the door. Obliquely relative to its axis, the catch bolt has a cam surface (26), on which is supported the foot of a blocking member (30) which is displaceable transversely relative to the axis of the catch bolt and the upper end face (34) of which is rounded. A bearing surface (38) of an intermediate piece (36) preferably designed as a lever shaft bears thereon as long as there is rope tension. In the absence of rope tension, the spring force acting on the catch bolt presses the blocking member upwards, with the result that the fan piece having the rope fastening lever (42) is tilted into a release position, whilst the catch bolt assumes its blocking position. <IMAGE> |
