MANUFACTURE OF SLIT CYLINDRICAL FITTING

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of stages and to realize costdown by forming a slit between the side edge raised by bending an original sheet each other. CONSTITUTION:A slit 2 is formed between the mutual side edges raised by bending the original plate 1 punching a plate stock in the shape approximate to the development plan of a cylindrical fitting in complete state and the bottom part is drawn. A cylindrical body 3 is then formed, a hole 5 is formed at the bottom part 4 of this cylindrical body 3 and the bottom part 4 on which the hole 5 is formed is flared to complete the slit cylindrical fitting 6 with upper and lower openings. On this cylindrical fitting 6 a flange part 7 is formed at one end side besides the slit 2. Thus, the number of stages and press capacity can be reduced because of the drawing process being executed simply by bent drawing stage without obtaining numerous stages.
