The tip of the stripe domain is comparatively gradually led into a writing part by the magnetic field, a punch-through pulse 33 and a chop pulse 34 for a horizontal Bloch line are applied to a chop conductor 23, the stripe domain is cut off, and a pair of Bloch lines 2, 3 are written in the chip part of the stripe domain. Consequently, the speed of a magnetic wall can be suppressed to a peak speed or less and the dynamic change of the magnetic wall state can be suppressed.
