<p>PURPOSE:To realize maintenance free state in a PS by providing a management table to select the path of a packet in a memory of a packet switching communication controller so as to select the path of the packet automonously and dynamically depending on a data terminal equipment DTE number and a PS number. CONSTITUTION:A destination DTE number, its own DTE number, a destination PS number and its own PS number or the like are included in a header part of a packet sent from DTEs 21-32. An exchange section 6 searches a management table stored in a memory sequentially and when no coincidence is gound out, the two numbers are registered in a PS number area and a DTE number ares of the management table and the packet is sent while the PS number of the said PS 45 is added to all other PS 46a/48 connected to the PS 45. When a coincident number exists, the PS number corresponding to the said destination DTE number is read from the management table and the packet is sent to the PS with the number of the said PS 45.</p> |
