SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL HAVING RAPID PROCESSING PROPERTY AND LESS CHANGE OF SENSITIVITY AND GRADIENT AGAINST TEMPERATURE CHANGE AT EXPOSURE

PURPOSE:To improve the rapid processing property of the titled material and to reduce the changes of the sensitivity and the gradient of the titled material caused by the temperature change at the time of exposing said material by incorporating a silver halide particle having a prescribed high chloride content and a specified org. compd. in an emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:One or more layers of silver halide emulsion layers contd. in the titled material contain the silver halide particle (A) having the high chloride content and the org. compd. (B) having solubility product against a silver ion of <=1X10<-11.0>. The compd. B is incorporated in the silver halide emulsion layer during the period from the formation of the silver halide particle to the end of the chemical sensitization of said particle. The particle A is composed of the silver halide which has >=90mol.% silver chloride and is chemically sensitized in the presence of an unstable sulfur compd. and a gold compd. And, the compd. (B) is exemplified by the mercapto compd. shown by formula I wherein Q is 5-6 membered heterocyclic ring group, etc., M is hydrogen atom. The concrete example of the compd. shown by formula I is exemplified by the compd. shown by formula II.
