IMAGE MEMORY DEVICE AND IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE

摘要

PURPOSE:To attain the high speed image generation and process in the combination with a cache buffer by using an image memory device assigned two-dimensional image information to one word. CONSTITUTION:One word of the image memory device stores the information concerning the two-dimensional block of L(=4) lines in vertical direction and M(=2) picture elements in horizontal direction and one word is constituted of an LXMXN(=32) bits. For the constitution method in the one word, the information of one picture element is continuously assigned to N(=4) bits and these LXM(=8) pieces are arranged. By the above-mentioned constitution, the data of the two-dimensional picture element block can be read and written by one memory access by the designation of a picture element block address. Such an image memory device and a cache buffer can be combined and the high speed image generation and process can be executed.
