A physical quantity controller is provided which includes numeral updating keys (17), a mode changing key (18), and a display unit (15). A value displayed on the display unit (15) is updated via the numeral updating keys (17). The updated value is automatically set as a new set point or alarm point when a predetermined time elapses after the updating keys (17) are actuated.
