PURPOSE:To prevent the operation efficiency of an operator from decreasing by providing a transmission part with a storage part for transmission, connecting a control part and the transmission part mutually by a local area network, and connecting this transmission part to a facsimile equipment or computer, etc., through a telephone line. CONSTITUTION:When image information in the storage part is transmitted by facsimile, an instruction input part 4 and the computer 12 send out instructions for facsimile transmission. When the instruction part 4 indicates facsimile transmission, the control part 2 reads the instructed image information out of the storage part 1 and sends the image information and information necessary for the facsimile transmission to be the transmission part 3 through the local area network 5. Then, the transmission part 3 stores the image information in the storage part 6 for transmission and sends it to facsimile equipment 11 connected by the line 7 through a connection part 8. When the computer 12 instructions facsimile transmission, the transmission part 3 sends the facsimile transmission instruction to the control part 2 through the network 5 and the processing is performed similarly to the input part 4.
