PURPOSE:To enhance printing quality by making it possible to certainly adjust the thickness of an ink film, by a method wherein the press mechanism by screw feed arranged to the center of a beam is provided between the support parts of a base and pressed to bend not only the beam but also an ink fountain roller through a center receiving key to obtain a pre-load state. CONSTITUTION:A beam 21 is bent by a fine adjustment mechanism 20 due to a bolt 7. An adjust screw is rotated by the fine adjustment mechanism 20 while an ink fountain roller 11 is bent to hold a pre-load state. Each ink metering key 18 is finely moved to bring the edge of the ink metering key 18 into contact with the surface of the ink fountain roller 11 and a zero point position is measured and displayed by a potentiometer. When the ink fountain roller 11 rotates in the direction shown by an arrow, the change of the gap between the ink metering key 18 and the surface of the ink fountain roller 11 due to the reaction force of the thickness of an ink film is eliminated and the adjustment of a zero point is simply and certainly performed. |
