PURPOSE:To facilitate the confirmation of charged service information by testing whether or not charged service can be utilized according to data read by an IC card reader writer and writing the charged service information on the IC card after utilization. CONSTITUTION:When the IC card 2 is inserted into the IC card reader writer 3, a subscriber code, charged service contract information, and an identification code which are recorded in the EEPROM in the card 2 are inputted to a control part 13 through an interface 4. The control part 13 confirms those pieces of information to enable the charged service. When the charged service is utilized, charging data is sent from a communication control part 12 to a CATV center through a RF modem 11 successively and processed by the microprocessor in the IC card 2, so that the data is written and stored as charging information. This charging information is read in a RAM 15 from the IC card 2 at an optional point of time by operating a remote control key pad 17 and displayed on a display device 5.
