PURPOSE:To reduce the cost by incorporating an A/D converter to a time width- analog voltage converter and using components of each converter in common so as to simplify the constitution of the signal converter. CONSTITUTION:The signal converter is provided with switches 1-3 inputting positive/negative reference voltages + or -Es, a resistor R and an integration device A, and the output of the integration device A is given to comparators CP1, CP2 and a sample-and-hold circuit SH. The comparator CP1 detects a point of time when the output of the integration device A passes through zero level, the comparator CP2 detects the point of time of the reference voltage Es and the output of the detected point of times controls the gate G via a gate control circuit. The output of the gate G is given to a microprocessor UP via a counter COU and a processor UP calculates a correction signal. Then the A/D conversion and the time width versus analog voltage conversion are applied by using the same circuit components to simplify the signal converter.
