PURPOSE:To improve the stability of a coating solution, electrophotographic characteristics and durability of a photosensitive body by using a specified polyetherketone as the binder resin of a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The polyetherketone to be used for the binder resin of the photoconductive layer, preferably, an electric charge transfer layer is represented by formula I in which Ar is a group represented by formula II, III, or the like, and m is 0 or 1. This polymer can be synthesized by polycondensing a dihydroxyl aromatic compound with an aromatic dihalide compound in the presence of an alkali. It is preferred to add a combination of this polymer and a hydrazone compound represented by formula VI in which R1 is methyl, phenyl, or the like; each of R2 and R3 is H, methoxy, or the like; and R4 is methoxy, ethoxy, or the like.
