PURPOSE:To obtain the titled blood lipid depressing agent containing isocarbacyclins as an active ingredient, having lipid depressing action of blood cholesterol, triglyceride, etc., and useful in treatment and prevention for hyperlipemia or hyperlipemia-derived disease. CONSTITUTION:The aimed agent contains isocarbacyclin expressed by the formula (R<1> is H, 1-10C alkyl or monovalent cation; R<2> is H, methyl, vinyl, etc.; R<3> is 3-10C alkyl, 3-10C alkenyl, etc.) as an active ingredient. The compound expressed by the formula includes e.g. 15-deoxy-16-hydroxy-16-methyl-9(0)- methano-DELTA<6(9d)>-pros-taglandin I1 and enhances selectivity of blood lipid depressing action to blood platelet coagulation inhibiting activity action and improves selectivity of action.
