PURPOSE:To obtain fine ceramic powder having a prescribed structure by producing a coprecipitated body from a mixed soln. prepd. by mixing part of the constituent metals of the desired compsn. except Zr with a Zr soln., mixing the produced body with compds. corresponding to the remainder of the compsn. and calcining the mixture at a prescribed temp. CONSTITUTION:A mixed soln. is prepd. by mixing part of the constituent metals of the compsn. of perovskite ceramics represented by the formula (where X=0.875-0.01, Y=0.813-0, Z=0.95-0, X+Y+Z=1, W=0-0.2 and Me is Sr, Ba, Ca, La or the like) except Zr with a Zr soln. The mixed soln. is mixed with a precipitate forming soln. and a produced coprecipitated body is calcined at 500-1,500 deg.C and ground. The resulting powder is mixed with compds. corresponding to the remainder of the compsn. and the mixture is calcined at 500-1,100 deg.C.
