PURPOSE:To maintain paper hold condition continuously from start of printing until a specific type is printed without requiring a specific manual operation mechanism or a power drive, by constructing such that a position setting member is switched over to first and second positions according to printing operation. CONSTITUTION:Since a set lever 122 is held in a second switching position during a series of printing cycles, print paper F is fed sequentially in paper feed direction while being held in paper holding condition continuously, thereby it causes no incomplete paper feed such as shifting of paper nor trouble such as disturbed printing. When an end mark (*) is selected and printed as a specific type, a projection 144a on a cam member 144 is set at a position where it is just engaged with a projection 142a on a leaf spring 142. Upon finish of printing, rolling frames 14, 16 are reset upward then a pin 136 is engaged naturally with a first step section 122a and allowed to reset to a rised position, thus enabling free removal of printed paper from a printer.
