PURPOSE:To easily delete a user word by selecting the desired user word with a selecting means from the list of the user word displaying on a display and deleting this from a memory. CONSTITUTION:At first, when the prescribed key of a keyboard 6 is operated, in accordance with it, a terminal main body 5 reads a user word from a user word memory 1 and displays this successively on a display 2. Next, when a desired line is selected by a mouse 4, in accordance with this, the main body 5 stores a deleting word in a deleting word memory 3, on the other hand, controls the display 2 and inverts and displays the deleting word. With this display, the selected word is cleared. Next, when the deleting key of the keyboard 6 is pushed, in accordance with this, the main body 5 deletes the deleting word stored in the memory 3 from the memory 1 and the operation is completed. Thus, with the easy operation, the unnecessary user word can be deleted.
