PURPOSE:To make rewinding of a magnetic tape unnecessary at the time of re-processing by constituting a buffer memory of plural blocks, providing a block selecting address register for writing and for reading, and controlling it with a micro computer. CONSTITUTION:The data of a magnetic tape device 1 are stored to the block of a buffer memory 3 designated by a block selecting address register 2 for writing. When the data capacity for one block is counted by a counting circuit 6 and the data storing for the block is completed, an interrupting command is issued to a microcomputer 7, the register 2 is renewed to a next block address, and an activating command is issued to the device 1. The computer 7 issues the activating command to an arithmetic part 5 and starts to read a block to show a block selecting address register 4 for reading. When reading is completed, the register 4 is renewed, and when a final block is reached, registers 2 and 4 are initialized. Thus, the data of the device 1 can be continuous ly processed by the arithmetic part 5.
