ORIGIN OF CALL DISPLAY METHOD

PURPOSE:To confirm a caller name and a district name before a called party response by referring to a table from origin of call information to be received and obtaining a corresponding caller identification name and displaying the result before the response. CONSTITUTION:When a caller uses a telephone set 2 to dial an extension number of a called party telephone set 3, a called party exchange 5 decides whether a called party subscriber line 7 is a line having a PBX dial-in service function depending on a received selection signal to start a sender display device 1. The device returns a confirming signal to the exchange 5 via a communication sequence interface section 14. The exchange 5 sends low-order 1-4th digits of the dial number of the caller 2 to the line 7. The device 1 converts a MF signal 8 into a number by a reception section 15, a central control section 16 refers to the name and district name or the like corresponding corresponding to the number and said names are displayed on a character display section 17.
