PURPOSE:To reduce the light quantity of an eraser, and to sufficiently equalize the surface potential of a photosensitive drum by rotating the drum plural times, while irradiating a light beam by the eraser, before stopping the rotation of the drum. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a photosensitive drum 2 is electrified 1, exposed 3, and an electrostatic latent image is formed, developed 4, transferred 7 onto a form 6a, and fixed 8. A residual toner on the drum 2 is brought to cleaning 10, and by a photoirradiation by an eraser 9, the surface charge is erased, and an electrification by a main electrifier 1 at the time of the next printing is equalized. Also, before stopping the rotation of the drum 2, a control part 11 rotates the drum 2 plural times, while radiating the light beam by the eraser 9. In such a way, the surface potential of the drum 2 is equalized. |
