PURPOSE:To check a fitting position of a fixed head and to adjust it by measuring reproduced signals obtained from rotary heads. CONSTITUTION:In a VTR, a sound signal is recorded/reproduced by the fixed head 4 and a video signal is recorded/reproduced by the rotary heads 3a, 3b. Signals can be recorded/reproduced by the rotary heads 3a, 3b on a recording area of a signal based upon the fixed head 4, and a reproduced signal obtained by removing the recorded signals by the fixed head 4 and then reproducing the signal by the rotary heads 3a, 3b is measured. When the recorded signal is erased by the fixed head 4 and reproduced by the rotary heads 3a, 3b, a reproduced signal is removed from only the part erased by the fixed head 4. The fitting position of the fixed head 4 can be adjusted by utilizing a method capable of checking the fitting position by measuring the reproduced signal erasing part. |
