PURPOSE:To attain low power consumption by bringing an input buffer into the nonoperating state when the output buffer is brought into the operating state so as to prevent a through-current of an input inverter circuit. CONSTITUTION:An input/output circuit consists of an output buffer connected to a data input/output terminal DIO and an input buffer. The output buffer consists of output MOSFETs Q1, Q2. Further, the input buffer consists of inverter circuits N2, N3. When the output buffer of the input/output circuit is inactivated, an input signal is given as it is to the input terminal of the circuit N3 via the terminal DIO. In bringing the output buffer into the operating state, MOSFETs Q4, Q6 are turned off and the input terminal of the circuit N3 is in the floating state. Thus, no throughcurrent flows to a C-MOSFET constituting the input inverter circuit. Thus, the gate array integrated circuit required low power consumption only. |
