N-(2,2,6,6-tetraalkyl-4-piperidinyl)- alpha -(3,5-di-alkyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)- alpha ' , alpha ''-dialkylacetamides are prepared by a new process are novel stabilizers for organic materials subject to attack and degradation, and form useful combinations for this purpose with other stabilizers against attack of polymer materials by heat, oxygen and light.
